Report Summary:
Sales and rentals of video discs (DVDs and Blu-ray Discs) have been in decline for some years, but they still form an important component within the wider video entertainment industry. It might be assumed that disc usage is lower where adoption of OTT TV and VOD is higher, but our research proves this is not the case. Segments which are most active in multiscreen video and OTT are also still the heaviest users of DVDs and BDs. This Bulletin examines the segments and demographics which buy and rent DVDs and Blu-ray Discs based on our survey of more than 6000 US and European consumers.
