Report Summary:
As Twitter prepares for its IPO our ConsumerMetrix survey suggests a reason for the timing: usage surged by 50% between Q4 2012 and Q2 2013 across our survey regions, and a third of US respondents now claim to use Twitter at least weekly. Not surprisingly given such strong growth, usage has increased in all demographic groups, and we have also seen a levelling of the gender gap which had previously skewed Twitter usage towards male users. This Bulletin presents selected survey findings related to users of Twitter based on a survey of more than 6100 respondents in the US, France, Germany, Italy and the UK.
