Strategy Analytics conducted an online survey of consumer attitudes towards online video subscription providers. This Bulletin presents the results of the survey of over 6000 respondents from the US and four European countries (UK, Germany, France and Italy).
The survey data suggests that Netflix subscribers are younger in the age demographic with solid annual household income. Customers' awareness of 4K/Ultra HD content availability from their service is very low which results in very few subscribers having experienced the 4K content on TV. However, the consumer satisfaction level for the quality of 4K content is above 90% for the US and Europe. On an average the US customers spend more time watching content on Netflix compared to European consumers hence the Netflix frequent users satisfaction level is higher than the European average. Overall the Netflix consumers are not concerned about their household bills and satisfied with their Netflix subscription.
