Report Summary:
37% of the total and nearly 60% of under 35s in the UK now use internet TV and movie services. The portable computer is still the most popular screen for viewing internet TV but the TV screen is now as likely to be used as the desktop PC. Usage of both tablets and smartphones has grown strongly over the past year. In order to watch internet TV on the TV screen UK consumers are most likely to connect a computer via an HDMI connection. Games consoles are the next most popular option and the PlayStation 3 is the most popular connected TV device overall. This report presents selected data findings from a survey of more than 1000 UK respondents relating to usage of internet TV services on connected multiscreen devices in the UK. Connected TV device rankings include Xbox360, PS3, Apple TV, Wii, and smart TVs from Samsung, Sony, LG, Panasonic.
