Multiscreen TV Usage in the US

Report Summary:
More than half of the total and more than three quarters of the under 25 population in the US now use internet TV and movie services. The TV screen is the most popular screen for viewing internet TV overall, followed by portable computers, desktop computers, smartphones and tablets, although tablets have shown the fastest growth over the past year. US consumers are using a variety of ways to watch internet TV and movies on the TV screen, including connecting computers via HDMI, games consoles, dedicated devices and smart TVs. The Xbox 360 is the most popular device, while 9% of connected TV users use a Samsung smart TV. This report presents survey data relating to usage of internet TV services on connected multiscreen devices. Connected TV device rankings include Xbox360, PS3, Roku, Apple TV, Wii, and smart TVs from Samsung, Sony, LG, Panasonic and Vizio.
