Report Summary:
Internet TV usage plateaued in the second half of 2013 across Europe in most countries and demographics. 40% of Europeans report using internet-delivered TV and movies in the past month, although this rises to two thirds in key demographic segments. Usage of TV screens and tablets has been growing most strongly over the past couple of years. We also find continued growth in connecting PCs to TVs using HDMI cables, while usage of some connected TV platforms such as games consoles declined. This report presents data from a survey of more than 4000 European consumers relating to usage of internet TV services on connected multiscreen devices. Connected TV device rankings include Xbox360, PS3, Apple TV, Wii, and smart TVs from Samsung, Sony, LG and Panasonic.
