Overall, Q1 2016 registered a soft quarter for both business smartphone and tablet markets, as inventory built-up due to volume purchases in Q4 2015. Worldwide business smartphones shipments for Q1 2016 fell to 92.2 million units, while business tablet shipments fell to 17.3 million units, down 21.0% and 9.8% respectively from the previous quarter. Weakening global smartphone and tablet demand, a slowing economy, and piled-up inventory, hampered the growth of both BYOD and Corporate-liable markets in the first quarter of the year.
