On October 26-27, 2011, Nokia held its annual Nokia World event in London. As is customary, Nokia used the event to unveils its latest line-up – Nokia Lumia, Nokia Asha (Mean ‘Hope’ in Hindu), as well as new marketing management and services. The company also aggressively defended its strategy while laying out its goals for the immediate future. Nokia had something to prove at this annual event, and an eight-month turnaround of its smartphone arm, Nokia's first Windows Phone devices (Lumia 710 and 800) were undoubtedly the stars of the two-day event, along with a new marketing theme “The Amazing Everyday”, while at the same time bringing the Asha Series 40 lineup to emerging markets. Both Lumia 710 and 800 will arrive in the UK, France, Spain, Germany and the Netherlands in mid-November, arriving later in Hong Kong, India, Russia, Singapore, and Taiwan before the end of the year, with a US launch slated for next year.
