The June update of the netbook vendor models and specifications database sees 4 new models added to the database. The April release of the Apple iPad, announced at the beginning of 2010, indicates that many OEMs are reviewing their product portfolios to consider where media tablet form factors can be included, which has subsequently resulted in a smaller number of product refreshes than normal. All new netbook models contained Windows 7 models as the netbook operating system of choice. 83% of all notebooks now contain a variation of Microsoft’s Operating systems, with 20% now available with Windows 7.
