Global Business Tablet Quarterly Tracking Q4 2021



Report Summary:

Worldwide B2B tablet shipments recorded a whopping decline of 40.1% from the same quarter last year. All regions reported negative YoY growth, with Central & Latin America, Central & Eastern Europe and Western Europe suffered the biggest declines of 58.6%, 42.7% and 42.4% YoY respectively. BYOD down 39% and Corporate-Liable tablets also dropped 42.1% YoY. On an annual basis, the market down 13.6% in 2021. After more than a year of accelerated buying driven by the shift to remote work and distant learning, we expect a slowdown in B2B Tablet spending and that has caused some softening of the B2B Tablet market in 2021. All major vendors' production targets for first half of 2022 have been adjusted downwards as the industry has been hit with component shortage and the Russia and Ukraine war. SA will continue to monitor the crisis closely and provide an assessment of the implications the crisis presents for the B2B Tablet market in our Q1 '22 quarterly and forecast reports.
