Due to a large contraction of Android tablets in Q1 2018, the worldwide business tablet market plummeted to a four-year low, with total shipments of just 14.9 million units across the entire industry. The contraction was primarily due to an exceptional quarter in Q4 2017 and companies are starting to refrain from spending until new hardware & vendor portfolio updates in latter part of 2018. Business tablet shipments by region all experienced negative YoY growth with Central & Latin America and Central & Eastern Europe shipments contracted the most from the same period a year ago. Apple iPad was the sole winner in this quarter.
