The worldwide business tablet market reached 19.3 million unit shipments in the third quarter, a 3.4% increase from Q2 2015. While the market grew worldwide from the previous quarter, business tablet growth actually declined compared to Q3 2014, with a 6.8% drop in shipments. Overall business tablet shipments slowed in the third quarter, as many enterprises waited on expected announcments from Apple and Microsoft with new business tablets. While the tablet market overall has become somewhat saturated resulting in slowed growth, we expect the ramp up in business tablet shipments of the next several years, as the tablet makers focus on this untapped market, while businesses shift computing models from PC form factor laptops two tablets into one ones.
