Smartphone sales to business users, either through corporate-liable purchases or BYOD programs, are expected to grow at a 20% CAGR on average annually between 2012 and 2017. BYOD volumes, driven largely by the North American and Asia Pacific regions, are expected to increase by more than 80% over the next five years and will account for more than a quarter of the world’s annual volume. Corporate liable volumes, after a year of flat growth in 2012, surged beyond expectations in the first three quarters, and are set up to increase 25% in 2013.
