Global smartwatch revenues in Q4 2017 were up 106% QoQ with the industry ARPU averaging US$313 after a record quarter for the Apple Watch. Garmin again had a strong quarter due to continued strong sales in Europe, while Apple raised industry ASPs due to the Series 3.  While Apple and Huawei have met limited success with ultra high-end smartwatches, it is the sub-US$500 segment that counts for roughly 4 of every 5 units sold and, more than 51% of dollars spent. Our report tracks smartwatch revenues and shipments market share for leading vendors by quarter from 2013 to Q4 2017.
