Global smartwatch revenues in Q3 2017 were up 16% QoQ with the industry ARPU averaging US$294. Garmin again had a strong second quarter due to continued strong sales in Europe, while Apple raised industry ASPs due to the Series 3.  While Apple and Huawei have met limited success with ultra high-end smartwatches, it is the sub-US$500 segment that counts for roughly 4 of every 5 units sold and, more than 54% of dollars spent. Our report tracks smartwatch revenues and shipments market share for leading vendors by quarter from 2013 to Q3 2017.
