Global smartwatch revenues in Q2 2017 were down -11% QoQ with the industry ARPU averaging US$276. #3 Garmin had a strong second quarter, more than doubling its revenue share due to strong sales in Europe.  Apple and Huawei have met limited success with high-end smartwatches, but it is the sub-US$500 segment that counts for 4 of every 5 units sold and, more than 59% of dollars spent. We expect a competitive market to continue through 2017 with high-profile Apple and Android Wear 2.0 devices from LG, Huawei, Fossil, and others expected to turn up the competitive pressure.
