Report Summary:

Global smartwatch revenues declined by 8% during Q4 2022 as consumers reigned in discretionary spending causing a lengthening replacement cycle amid macroeconomic weakness. Wear OS was boosted by the Pixel Watch, as well as Samsung's Galaxy Watch 5, solidifying Google's second OS share position behind Apple's Watch OS. Meanwhile, Fitbit's Fitbit OS outperformed the market average due to the Sense 2 and Versa 4 and Huawei's Harmony OS is still on the rise due to model mix shifting to newer Watch 3 and GT3/GT3 Pro models. Apple's watchOS, Google's Wear OS, Huawei's HarmonyOS, Garmin's Connect IQ, Fitbit's Fitbit OS, and others continue to battle it out for the top OS spot. This report provides quarterly global smartwatch revenues, prices, and tiers for all major operating systems from 2016 to 2022.
