North American shipments of Notebook PC reached 19.9 million units during Q4 2021, a -8% decline compared to Q4 2020 and 1% growth from 19.7 million in Q3 2021 as commercial and consumer upgrades continued during the holiday season. Premium products gained momentum due to commercial demand for Windows 11 capable notebook PCs and growth of DaaS (Device as a Service), while consumer spending also increased due to higher holiday discounts on premium products (such as Ultramobile and gaming notebooks).
