Strategy Analytics attended the much awaited Apple launch of The New iPad today. The tone of the event was refreshingly upbeat and there were some surprises given that many bloggers had already published what they felt would be the specifications well in advance of the event. Our view is that three key trends took on extra significance today, as Apple gave us its news on an astonishing high quality retina display, a new processor to handle the retina display and associated HD content, and finally the next stage in the transition from just media consumption, to now include media creation.
