Notebook PC shipments declined just 7% in the third quarter of 2023 versus the same period a year ago, the first time the markets' decline has slowed to single-digit percentage points since the first quarter of 2022. Notebook shipments totaled 51.2 million units. Although demand, particularly in the commercial market, remained subdued, the slower rate of decline indicates the market is past its worst. The notebook PC market is on a slow path to recovery as Windows 10 end of service and the refresh cycle generated from early COVID-era PC purchases push the market into growth in 2024.  This report contains quarterly global notebook shipments by operating system (Windows, MacOS, Chrome, Others) and top five vendors (Lenovo, HP, Dell, Asus, Apple, Others) from 1Q 2015 through 3Q 2023.
