By and large, the tablet market was not a supply constrained as once feared and vendors were able to serve leftover demand from the much more constrained holiday quarter. Most major vendors showed growth from a year ago, pushing the total market slightly higher as well. At least two challenges lay ahead for the industry: 1. Persistent inflation could redirect some consumer budgets away from spending on electronics; and, 2. Given that the region is moving toward fewer COVID restrictions, industry players must determine how their tablet portfolios fit the needs of new behaviors.
