Apple has not been immune to the lull in demand and macroeconomic woes that have plagued the notebook PC industry following the COVID-19 era. In 2023, Apple's MacBook shipments are expected to decline 18% from their height in 2022 (24.7 million units). As Apple has shifted to their own silicon, currently on its third generation in the M3, we can expect to see more competition from Apple in the commercial notebook space. The Apple MacBook Pro will lead the way in facilitating Apple's growth in the commercial space and is expected to represent about two-thirds of all MacBooks shipped in 2024. This report contains quarterly notebook PC shipments by model family and generation for Apple's MacBook devices from Q1 2020 through Q3 2023 with forecasts until Q4 2024.
