Xiaomi’s smartphone shipments declined -2% YoY in Q3 2019 and its wholesale revenue dropped -1% YoY. The volume decline was partly offset by the ASP growth, as Redmi’s brand uplift is paying dividends. Xiaomi is now facing mounting pressure from resurgent Huawei in China, and its leadership in India’s online market is challenged by aggressive Realme and vivo. Western Europe is becoming the new growth engine.
