OPPO maintained the fifth position in global smartphone market in Q3 2019, although its smartphone shipments declined -6% YoY and its smartphone wholesale revenue dropped -2% YoY. Facing the mounting pressure from Huawei in home market, OPPO is accelerating its overseas expansion especially in Western Europe for new growth potential. Meanwhile, OPPO’s multi-brand strategy started to bear fruits. Its online-focused sibling brand - Realme and OnePlus - have enjoyed good momentum this quarter, which has offset the vendor’s volume drop.
