Apple posted a mixed quarter and iPhone shipments grew by +3% YoY in Q3 2017. While the newly launched iPhone 8 models are a mixed bag, healthy demand of iPhone 7 series helped stabilize wholesale ASP and slightly improved revenue annually. Apple regrew iPhone business in China but home market US posted an annual decline. Attention now switched to iPhone X: whether it will be different or exciting enough to ignite a rebound in iPhone volumes for the important Q4 2017 western holiday season.
