Xiaomi experienced another weak quarter. Its global smartphone shipment dropped 19% YoY. However, it posted strong momentum in India due to healthy demand of Redmi series. Meanwhile, the newly-launched Mi Mix and Mi Note 2 have impressed the market by ID design and hardware innovations. Moreover, the partnership with China Mobile would strengthen the vendor’s position in offline channel in home country. Will these initiatives bear fruit for Xiaomi in 2017?
