Q3 11 Apple iOS 5 iCloud & Siri Lay Foundations for Multi-Screen Ecosystem

Download Report

Report Summary:

Apple shipped a surprisingly weak 17 million iPhones worldwide in Q3 2011. This resulted in Apple revenues falling short of general expectations for the first time in years. Coinciding, as this quarter did, with the death of Apple founder Steve Jobs, and Samsung’s recent emergence as the world’s largest smartphone player, inevitable questions are being asked about whether Apple is losing momentum. Nonetheless, Apple continues to innovate inspiring products, and the commercial launches of iOS 5, iCloud and Siri show how the company is pressing ahead to lay foundations for its growing multi-screen ecosystem.
