Xiaomi continued to grow in Q2 2018. The vendor solidified the 4th position in global smartphone market with 9% market share. Xiaomi’s investment on overseas expansion is paying dividends and India has become the vendor’s strong growth engine. It has made big progress in European countries too. Xiaomi’s low-end Redmi series are well-received in emerging markets and now the vendor is incubating a new brand, called POCO, for high-end online segment in overseas markets.
