Report Summary:

RIM’s global smartphone shipments fell -42% annually in Q2 2012. Revenue, profit and ASP all declined as it lost out to superior touchscreen models from Apple and Android. Emerging markets continued to weaken in RIM’s second quarter, wiping out a bright spot for RIM that had been helping to offset some of its poor performance in developed markets. RIM is now feeling pressure in nearly every region of the world.
