Strategy Analytics tracked global smartphone shipments (sell in) fell -39% MoM and -38% YoY in February 2020 mainly due to the hit of COVID-19 and seasonality. Sales (sell through) to end users posted a -39% annual decline too. Global smartphone market was hit badly by the outbreak and spread of COVID-19 in China and more countries. Almost all vendors posted an annual decline this month. Samsung tops both shipment and sales chart this month, followed by Apple, Xiaomi, Huawei, OPPO and vivo by both shipment and sales volume.
