Annual global handset shipments declined in Q1 2022. Economic pressure on consumers, war in Europe, component shortages, and manufacturing disruption are putting the brakes on handset shipments, and these issues will continue through much of 2022. Nonetheless half of the top ten vendors showed positive annual growth in the first quarter of the year.
