Global smartphone shipments grew 0% YoY in Q3 2020. It was the industry’s best performance for a year. Smartphone demand roared back, as much of the world exited the first Covid wave after H1. Samsung regained the top spot, followed by Huawei. Xiaomi soared to the third place for the first time ever. Apple fell to the fourth place mainly due to the late launch of iPhone 12 models. vivo surpassed OPPO and took the fifth position. Realme, Transsion, Lenovo and LG are on the top ten list too. Among major players, Xiaomi and Realme led the pack with the highest annual growth rate this quarter.
