Strategy Analytics tracked global smartphone shipments (sell in) fell -27% YoY in May 2020 mainly due to COVID-19, which disrupted supply chain and depressed consumer demand significantly. However, shipment volume improved +18% MoM from April. Sales (sell through) to end users posted a -30% annual decline, but improved +16% from last month. Samsung, Huawei, Apple, Vivo, OPPO and Xiaomi continue to battle for the top spots.
