China’s rise has been driven by a blend of enriched smartphone portfolios from multinational and local brands, some heavily subsidized models driving down retail prices, and aggressive promoting of 3G data plans by operators. Nokia and Symbian lead in China, while Samsung, Apple, ZTE, Huawei and HTC are upping their game with high-end and low-end models.
