LTE-Advanced handsets have continued to show very different dynamics as more 5G smartphones are shipped to those countries since last year. 5G dynamics have substantially started to change 4G dynamics. In Q4 2022, India has become the biggest LTE-A handset market in the world for ten quarters in a row, by volume. China, the US, Japan and South Korea all significantly declined annually in terms of LTE-A handset shipment during the quarter, mostly due to more focus on 5G devices.
