Nokia lost significant traction in China this quarter, due to ZTE, Huawei and Apple making huge gains in TD-SCDMA and WCDMA markets. Local Indian brands, like Spice Mobile, now account for 6 of the top 10 rankings across India. Huawei's Ideos portfolio helped it to overtake LG for 7th position in India. Apple's iPhone remained popular in Japan as it edged up to 4th place. Samsung captured half the South Korea market due to robust sales of the Galaxy S2 Android model.
