Germany Handset Vendor Marketshare by Operator Q4 2011

Report Summary:

German handset shipments fell -1% annually in Q4 2011, as the launch of the Apple iPhone 4S and Nokia’s Lumia family of Windows Phone models provided timely reasons for consumers to consider buying a new phone. As a result, Apple and Nokia clawed back some German marketshare from Q3’s dominant vendor, Samsung. After the big three there is a long tail of vendors struggling to keep up; all having marketshares in the low single-figure percentages. This report tracks quarterly handset vendor market share at major carriers in Germany, including T Mobile, Vodafone, O2 and E-Plus, from Q1 2009 to Q4 2011.
