Smartphone shipments in China fell 8% sequentially during Q2 2011, due to an inventory correction. Nokia held the no.1 position, but Apple and Samsung closed the gap. If Apple launches a mid-range iPhone for prepaid users over the next few months, then we expect Apple's share to spike. Huawei, ZTE, Motorola, Sony Ericsson and HTC all made gains, as Android models captured shelfshare in major cities of east and south China.
