Apple global iPhone shipments declined -1% YoY during Q4 2017. It is the first time ever for Apple to post a negative growth rate during western holiday season. Unsurprisingly, iPhone X topped the chart this quarter, but its performance failed to meet industry expectation. iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, on the other hand, posted relative solid performance, backed by healthy demand and channel / carrier promotions. This report details global shipments for every iPhone model since its launch through Q4 2007, from the iPhone 2G to the iPhone X. The data is especially useful for mobile operators, retailers, component-makers, vehicle developers, channel and technology industry watchers of all kinds.
