Global handset industry revenues declined by -8% annually in Q1 2016. Apple maintained its leading position by revenue and led in 4 of the 6 regions. Samsung retained its second position and led in two regions with annual declines. Apple and Samsung together captured 64% of worldwide handset revenues and the duopoly-like situation is expected to continue further in 2016.  Apart from some of the top vendors most of the others witnessed revenue declines. This report tracks quarterly global handset (mobile phone) revenues, ASPs and shipment metrics for 15 major vendors from 2007 to Q1 2016.
