Global smartphone shipments fell by -3% annually in Q2 2018. The new and emerging "Next Forty Five" markets that we track accounted for 23% of all smartphone volumes worldwide. Samsung led in 26 out of 45 countries. Indonesia, Thailand and Philippines were ranked the top three of the forty five, in terms of shipments in the quarter. The 45 "new" countries tracked include: Argentina, Algeria, Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Chile, Colombia, Denmark, Ecuador, Egypt, Finland, Ghana, Hong Kong, Hungary, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Kenya, Malaysia, Morocco, Myanmar, Netherlands, Nigeria, Norway, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Switzerland, Sweden, Singapore, Taiwan, Tanzania, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Venezuela and Vietnam.
