Global smartphone shipments inched up slightly by +1% annually in Q2 2016. While China and India grew their shipments YoY, most of the major countries including the US, Japan and Brazil declined annually. Samsung became no.1 smartphone vendor in 12 major countries. Rising smartphone brands -- such as Oppo, vivo and LeEco  -- are gaining rapid traction, based on solid volumes in their home territories. Our extensive report tracks the world's 21 leading smartphone vendors' shipments and marketshare across 15 major countries worldwide from Q1 2012 to Q2 2016. The 15 countries tracked account for 7 in 10 of all global smartphone volumes.
