Global smartphone shipments declined by -4% annually in Q1 2019. China posted annual negative growth again while Russia grew its shipments significantly YoY. India grew marginally due to seasonality and local regulation. Samsung became no.1 smartphone vendor in the majority Eight countries while Huawei defended no.1 position in its home China, and Xiaomi kept no.1 in India for six quarters in a row. Our extensive report tracks the world's 25 leading smartphone vendors' shipments and marketshare across 15 major countries worldwide from Q1 2012 to Q1 2019. The 15 countries tracked account for 7 in 10 of all global smartphone volumes.
