Samsung introduced its 5th generation Galaxy Z Flip5 and Fold5 foldable display smartphones today. The new devices offer iterative improvements across the board. Though not as ground-breaking as some recent Chinese foldables, the new smartphones are sure to please Samsung Galaxy Z fans and draw new customers to the product line.
The two new foldable display smartphones, along with new smartwatches and tablets, were announced at Samsung’s Unpacked event in Seoul, South Korea, 26 July 2023. The introduction comes weeks earlier than last year’s unveiling, reflecting Samsung’s desire to garner more attention and sales before Apple’s next-generation iPhones are introduced in September.
