LG’s global handset shipments dipped by -14 % YoY in Q4 2015, with the US market accounting for the largest chunk of overall shipments. Record LTE volumes and marginal improvements across most of its key metrics notwithstanding, the vendor must grow its marketshare in China and India in particular in order to advance in global rankings. It at the same time needs to avoid any brand confusion that could arise out of its multiple smartphone series.
