Samsung’s global handset shipments in Q3 2016 were down by -15% YoY. The global recall of Note 7 devices impacted shipments a bit, but heavily drove down revenues and profits. Samsung posted the worst operating profits in its handset business since 2000’s, mostly due to the operational costs for Note 7. This South Korean vendor MUST fix the issue on Note 7 before it unveils the upcoming flagship in H1 2017.
