The project covered four countries: France, Germany, UK and US. This report is a summary of top-level findings across all fours countries with comparisons.
We polled over 12,000 consumers in these countries to identify those that owned one or more smart home solutions. Our goal was to have at least 1,200 smart home households in the sample for each country to probe:
- Why they bought smart home products
- How they found out about them
- Where they bought them
- And which device or solution did they buy first, next, and so on
We also wanted to know the reasons why some people aren’t interested in smart home solutions so we can advise clients how to address those inhibitors.
