US shipments of Connected TV Devices grew 11% on an annual basis during Q4 2015 to reach 27.8 million units bringing the overall number of such devices installed in US homes to more than 216 million. Game Consoles proved to be the most popular device category in Q4 based on shipment numbers thanks to strong seasonal demand for the Xbox One and PS4. Digital Media Streamers such as Chromecast, Apple TV and Roku also performed well following the introduction of updated models in October.
