Global Connected TV Device shipments for Q1 2016 reached 41.6 million units, an increase of 6% from 39.2 million in Q1 2015. Digital Media Streamers enjoyed the strongest growth followed by Smart TVs. However, Game Console and Smart Blu-ray Player shipments declined versus the same period last year. Samsung shipped the highest number of Connected TV Devices in the quarter followed by Sony and LG. Chinese brands TCL, Hisense and Skyworth continue to climb the rankings and enjoyed much stronger yearly growth than all other brands.
