Report Summary:

Global shipments of connected TV devices grew by 8.7% in Q2 2021 but declined by 3.5% sequentially as the pandemic related boost to Smart TV and Streaming Media Player purchases started to show signs of slowing. The worldwide component shortage and increase in logistical expenses is leading to rising costs for manufacturers and while several streaming media player vendors are likely to absord the additional manufacturing costs in order to keep end consumer prices low, prices for bigger ticket items such as smart TVs are starting to creep upwards.

This report provides quarterly shipment and installed base vendor shares Globally across the four Connected TV Device categories of Smart TVs, Smart Blu-ray players, IP-enabled Game Consoles and Digital Media Streamers. The report also provides market shares by operating system for Smart TVs and the wider Connected TV landscape. It is a valuable tool for all stakeholders who want to track the Connected TV Device footprint of the world's major Consumer Electronics brands.
